Summer Term Welcome and Reminders

We are looking forward to welcoming back all students on Monday 12 April after the Easter holidays. Here are a few reminders to make sure we return safely.

We recommend that all students and staff take a Lateral Flow Covid Test on Sunday 11 April. If you do not have a test from school, please collect one from a local testing site - please see the information below and link to the left.

Collecting rapid home testing kits

You can collect two packs of home testing kits at the walk-in testing site at Inspire2Learn (Normanby Road) between 1.30pm and 7.00pm, you do not need to make an appointment.

Each pack contains seven tests, and can be collected by anyone aged 18 or over. The test kits come with full instructions. Please see our blog here https://www.normanby.outwood.com/blog/news/4536 for further information.

Please ensure that you log test results on this GoogleForm https://forms.gle/T8TVE5jw9zof3iko9 (link on the left) and with Test and Trace as described in the instructions.

Please do not come onto school site if you have any Covid-19 symptoms. If you or a member of your household is showing any symptoms you must all self-isolate and book a PCR test.

The Government has confirmed recently that students and staff in secondary schools will need to continue to wear face masks where social distancing cannot be maintained. This means that face masks should be worn in communal areas and classrooms where 2 metre distance cannot be maintained. All students should bring their own reusable face mask to school each day.

We will continue to use separate entrances for each year group. Please ensure that students arrive punctually at their allocated time. These are as follows:

* Year 7 - 8.00am
* Year 8 - 8.05am
* Year 9 - 8.10am
* Year 10 - 8.15am
* Year 11 - 8.20am

Please ensure students arrive at the academy in full uniform with all necessary equipment.
