It was a real pleasure to welcome students from Whale Hill, South Bank, Caedmon, Bankfields, Grangetown, Ayesome and Teesville Primary Schools to our academy on Tuesday. They were part of ongoing visits ahead of our Transition Week which this year will be Monday 15 July to Friday 19 July. Students enjoyed themselves sampling lessons, meeting some key staff, looking around the academy, and getting a feel for what school life will be like at Outwood Academy Normanby in September.
What a lovely group of young people. They were a credit to themselves, friendly, positive and increasingly confident once they had spent some time with us. There must be some very proud headteachers (and parents) out there!
