Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day - Wednesday 16 December
Thu 10 Dec 2020
On the last day of term, Wednesday 16 December, we hosted a ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ in school to raise money for Whale Hill Community Centre Food Bank. This helped support their vital work and made it possible for them to help even more people at this particularly difficult time of year for many. Students wearing a jumper made a minimum donation of 50p upon entry to the school, but of course, some donated more or indeed donated even if they didn’t have a Christmas jumper.
Students wanting to be involved wore an appropriate Christmas Jumper, making sure incorporated humour was appropriate for the school setting. The Christmas jumper was worn instead of a school blazer, or as an addition. All other school uniform was worn, including shirt and tie.
On Wednesday 16 December, Christmas Dinner was available during a slightly extended lunch period for all students and staff. Please see our menu below. The cost of each dinner was £2.54, which is the standard meal deal price or Free School Meal allowance. We hope our students enjoyed this festive treat to finish off the autumn term.
